Autumn 2019

Outdoor Learning
Alongside the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) team the children are helping to develop more active, inspiring play-times and play-spaces.
Initially, following a postive evaluation of the school grounds, we have been working on developing risk assessments as a community. These have been to address activities that children wanted to be able to do: to play with sticks, to climb trees and to sit on the walls and talk.
The risk assessments that the children have developed with Mrs Hallett can be found on the gazebo. You will also see pink ribbons marking the 1 and 1/2 metre maximum height on some trees, where children have decided - with adult support-  that it should be safe to climb.
