Geography
Why?
We want our pupils at St Sidwell's to learn Geography, so that:
- They develop curiosity and enthusiasm about the world, both locally and internationally, in order to make sense of the world as a diverse community
- They develop their understanding of how the environment changes both naturally and as a result of human activities and they understand their place in this dynamic environment
- They can explore the world through fieldwork to develop vocabulary and identify geographical features through first-hand experiences
What?
We teach Geography through carefully selected enquiries. This document shows our long-term plan for Geography.
Who?
Mrs Hallet leads Geography in our school, from Nursery to Year 6.
