Starting School September 2021

Although life still feels rather different, we are working around the challenges of lockdown and social distancing in order to warmly welcome you to our school. We hope that the information on our website will help you to learn more about how special and amazing St Sidwell's is. 

We are looking forward to you and your child joining the Foundation Stage in September 2021 and becoming part of St. Sidwell's Church of England Primary School and Nursery. Together we work hard to make sure that all our new children experience a smooth transition whether you are three or ten years old! 

This page is just for you and we hope you will find it useful! There is lots to discover about the school, so visit this page regularly as we will post new items of interest to you.

The 'Foundation Stage' is the name of the first years of school for your child - it includes Nursery (for children aged 3-4 years of age) and Reception children who will be four years or older. This first year of school provides a firm 'foundation' for learning. It is filled with learning through play, inside and outside. Please look at the gallery below; it has photos of the main school building and photographs of Foundation Stage children playing and learning in our Unit.

Take a look at our Foundation Stage gallery; this is where you will play and learn in September. You will see children in uniforms, they are Reception children. Some children don't wear a uniform, they are Nursery children. We all play and learn together in one big indoor classroom and one big outside space!
