Welcome to Year 6’s class page. It's great to see everyone back and enthusiastic for their learning.

This page will have links to helpful learning resources that can support you at home as well as anything that might make school days easier for parents and children.

PE Days

Our PE days for the second half of the Spring Term are on Monday and Tuesdays.

Children should wear their PE Kits to school and will be in them all day. Tracksuits and school jumpers are needed as the days cool down if we are outside. Water is always important and please, no earrings.

Home Learning

Children will be given spellings each week and will be tested on them during a weekly spelling test. The spellings will be available on Spelling Shed and the children can practice them on their, too. 

The children are also expected to read for at least 30 minutes a day - completing AR tests when they have finished their book.

Use of Times Tables Rockstars is also advised to ensure the children are confident with their understanding of times tables as this will support them in most of their maths learning. 

Google Classroom

We will be using Google Classroom for some of our lessons and also as part of our home-learning, occasionally.

Your child should know their username and password and be able to login to access the new Year 6 page. The code needed for the Year 6 page is: x4rudyh

If you have any trouble accessing Google Classroom at home, please let me know so that I can support you in this.
